Rebuilt 1982 Trek 715
Rebuilt 1982 Trek 715
This rebuild is now complete and ready to ride. A 14-speed Rohloff Speedhub replaces the front and rear derailleurs. The rear brake is the new Avid mechanical disc brake with adjustments for both brake pads. The Ultegra crank and bottom bracket came from another Trek I had lying around. Incidentally that bottom bracket has 33,000 miles on it but it still has some life left in it. Spectrum Cycles outfitted the frame with new seat and chain stays and Paragon sliding rear dropouts. They also replaced obsolete cable fittings with more appropriate ones. Clinton Bicycle Shop built the rear wheel and did the rest of the assembly.
